It’s the Mix 106 Toy Drive benefiting foster children served by Child Advocates of Silicon Valley, Saturday, December 7th, 10am-9pm and Sunday, December 8th, 11am-7pm at Westgate Center! Look for the Mix 106 booth with Marc, Laurie and 3G broadcasting live right in front of the main entrance on the Saratoga Ave side between Starbucks, Smashburger and Sushi Boat.
Stop by during our Toy Drive to donate to the CASA store, a dedicated room filled with new items for foster children and their Holiday Toy Drive.
We are looking to bring joy to foster children with donations of new, unwrapped toys including Legos, art supplies, craft kits, board & card games, infant toys, dress-up clothing, dolls/action figures, outside balls (footballs, soccer, baseball, etc.), educational toys (electronics, games, STEM), earbuds, headphones, speakers. They also look for workout wear, jackets/coats, clothing, shoes, makeup sets, full size tolietry items, curling irons, straighteners, blow dryers and more.
Since CASA volunteers are not reimbursed for the cost of activities they share with their child, we encourage donations of event tickets to community plays, sporting events and movie theaters so the CASAs can treat their child to a fun outing. Gift cards are always welcome — especially during the holiday season. Gifts cards to Kohl’s, Target, Amazon, Nike, Nordstrom, Macys, REI, Burlington, Sephora, GAP, Old Navy, Ulta, and Walmart are particularly popular with our teens. Event tickets and gift cards can be dropped off during the Toy Drive.
Stop by the Mix 106 Toy Drive, make a donation, and you will be entered to win different prizes throughout the day including concert tickets to see Ariana Grande, Lauren Daigle, Niall Horan, Harry Styles and more live in concert, tickets to experience WinterFest at California’s Great America courtesy of Coca-Cola, or Disney Jr. Holiday Party!, and gift cards to Westgate Center retailers including Skechers Outlet, Nike Factory Store and Gap Factory Store and much more to be announced.
About Child Advocates of Silicon Valley:
Child Advocates of Silicon Valley is a member of the National CASA organization, a network of nearly 1,000 local community programs supporting children in the foster care system who have experienced abuse and neglect. By matching volunteer Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs) with dependent children, Child Advocates of Silicon Valley ensures that the needs and best interests of foster children in our program are met. Because our volunteers are court-appointed, they can thoroughly research every aspect of a child’s case, including meeting teachers, social workers and foster parents. Advocates provide reports to the court so judges can make decisions with clear and accurate information. In addition to representing children in court, CASAs serve as friends and mentors.
